Abstract
All global countries are interdependent, and all aspects of the global economy operate synergistically. The COVID-19 pandemic gave a renewed sense of urgency to focus on the synergies between supply chain, climate change, COVID-19, and sustainable development as they affect business on the African continent and how what occurs in one part of the world affects the whole world. Global interdependence was the theme of UNCTAD 15, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, held in Barbados in October 2021. Fair trade and global development can be achieved only by simultaneously addressing these issues and understanding the reciprocal impact of companies, government, and society. This article reviews the discussions of the UNCTAD 15 meeting.
