Abstract
President of the Kent branch of the Korean War Veterans Association, and the author of a book about his time in the war, Brian Parritt has given great consideration to his experience. He can remember the weapons of war, the moments of relief, and the emotions he felt with great clarity. The most memorable event was the Second Battle of the Hook where Brian sustained an injury during a night of intense fighting. Brian also reflects on the war’s legacy and the treatment of veterans in public memory.
