Abstract
Alan Maggs remembers how cold Korean winters got and how hot the summers ran. That experience, one shared by many veterans of the war, made life at the front unbearable at times. Equipment played an important role in aiding the comfort of soldiers, or exacerbating their irritation. American supplies and heaters, rations and clothing made a great difference. Alan shares stories about the British kit as well as taking enemy fire and getting injured at the front.
