Abstract
Mike Mogridge shipped out to Korea in 1953. His recollections of the war focus on the static nature of the fighting in trenches and on patrol. In vivid testimony, he explains the sights and smells of the war. Mike returned to Britain in 1954, and since his return, he explains how the war has provided an appreciation of national service and the long-term significance of British intervention. Because the war remains an ongoing part of life in Korea, the legacy of the Cold War endures.
