Abstract
Jim Tait came to Korea in 1953, and found it a curious place. He sought to learn more of the culture, the people, and the places. Until then, all Jim knew was south-west London. He served as a military policeman during the war, investigating British servicemen and learning Latin in his spare time. He has indelible memories about American soldiers, Commonwealth forces, and the Japanese he met on leave. He recounts the memory of the war in popular minds and is proud to call himself a veteran.
