Abstract

With the progress of the times and the vigorous development of technologies such as sensors and the Internet, people’s daily work and learning methods have been completely changed. The traditional home environment has begun to fade out of the stage. Comfort, convenience, intelligence, and high security are people’s pursuit of future homes. The emergence of Internet technology has brought us a lot of convenience. Today’s general understanding of SM (smart home) refers to the use of computer technology, network technology and other emerging technologies to integrate various related devices in home life to achieve unified centralized management and remote monitoring. In recent years, with the vigorous development of cloud computing, it has also brought new flash points to the intelligent of homes and brought a brand new life experience to people. Therefore, the application of the IOT (Internet of Things) technology in the interior design of SM is the focus of this article. First, analyze the differences in the development of SM interior design at home and abroad. The results show that only 43% of newly renovated houses in China will have a certain degree of intelligent system, which is lower than that of developed countries such as the United States and South Korea. Secondly, it analyzes the application effect of the IOT technology in the design of SM buildings. The results show that 41% of professional designers believe that the use of IOT technology in residences will make SM installation more convenient, and 32% of designers believe that Internet technology will make SM maintenance more convenient. 7% and 10% of professional designers pointed out that the application of IOT technology in SM design will make SM easy to use and operate.
