Abstract
Controversy exists regarding the need for immunizations after splenic artery embolization following traumatic splenic injuries. To date, evidence suggests that routine vaccination after splenic embolization may not be necessary; however, the quality of such evidence requires examination before definitive recommendations can be provided.
