Abstract

In recent years, fault detection and monitoring has been concerned in radio & television network system. Considering the demands of construction project for a certain provincial radio & television station, this paper concentrates on an asymmetric polling scheme of the fault monitoring for the 5 outer stations of transmission loop network in main controlling system, the MAC protocol has been analyzed by the embedded Markov chain theory and the probability generating function methodology, the system parameters, both the analytic results and the computer simulations, have been given performance evaluation, it indicates that the proposed scheme can provide the safety and reliability for the fault monitoring data transmission between the provincial radio & television station and its related outer stations.
