Abstract
It is easy to look at The Giving Pledge and conclude that it is an attempt to take credit on a global stage with little accountability and that signers have no interest in actually doing anything beyond taking credit. Yet it is important to note that The Giving Pledge has already been a great success from an advocacy point of view.
