Abstract
I spent six weeks in the Canadian Arctic at the peak of winter, and in that world of black and white, I learned that life is grey and never simple. It changed how I view and experience the world around me and made me re-evaluate my relationships with nature, animals, food, and my sense of purpose. In this chapter, I reflect on my six-week visit to the Arctic and the impact that community members have had on my life since.
