Abstract
Musculoskeletal ultrasound as an adjunct in the care of the sports medicine and orthopedic patient is revealing itself as an incredibly valuable assessment tool. Accreditation and certification have been developed and will be an increasingly important method to maintain certain standards expected in this field. There are significant differences between accreditation and certification that the physician and sonographer need to understand. This chapter will answer some of the commonly asked questions about these two processes.
