Abstract
Glucagon may influence the exocrine pancreatic secretion stimulated by gastrointestinal hormones or by cholinergic drugs both in the conscious (1, 2, 3) and in the anaesthetized dogs (4, 5).
Cristalline glucagon probably about 90% pure. Contains about 10 of a component resembling mono-desamido glucagon which has nearly the same glycogenolytic potency as glucagon. Insulin content: 12 milliunits per mg or less.
