Abstract

The Advanced Multimodality Image-Guided Operating (AMIGO) Suite is introduced in this chapter. An explanation is tendered of why the suite was built. Both the finished product and a didactic lesson in building the space are presented. A high-level look at how the space is used will give context to some of the other chapters of this book. The trend of using multiple modalities to guide surgeries and interventions will accelerate as the idea finds penetration into other healthcare centers around the world.
