Abstract
Autologous bone is the “gold standard” bone graft material, as it provides the full spectrum of osteogenic, osteoconductive, and osteoinductive properties. The posterior iliac crest represents another harvesting site of autologous bone graft, providing a larger volume of cancellous and corticocanellous bone compared to the anterior iliac crest and is extensively used in posterior spinal fusion procedures.
