Abstract
In 1931, Michael S. Burman1 reported his cadaveric study on the arthroscopic inspection of various joints, including the hip. The first clinical application of hip arthroscopy was reported by Kenji Takagi2 in 1939. However, following Takagi’s report, use of the arthroscope in the hip went unmentioned until the late 1970s.3–6
