Abstract

Caries preventive therapy includes fluoride in various forms, behavioral management, non-fluoride chemical therapy, dietary modification, education, risk assessment and an understanding of the individual patient’s reasons for caries initiation or progression. Currently available caries preventive therapeutic options are described.
