Thermal diffusion in the helium-xenon gas system

Abstract

The entropy similarity method is used to determine such characteristics of nonisothermal molecular mass transfer as thermal diffusion separation factors, thermal diffusion separation efficiencies, thermal diffusion ratios, and thermal diffusion constants for the “frozen” helium-xenon binary gas system at normal pressure over wide ranges of temperatures and pressures. The discrepancy between the calculated and experimental values is within the experimental error.
