A method of extracting smoke from buildings using a water-air jet pump

Abstract

The authors present a theory that predicts the performance of a water-air jet pump having a high air to water volume flow ratio and describe an experiment using such a system. They also discuss the application of such a system to the removal of smoke and gases from buildings.
