Abstract

The spectral parameters and intensity of light received by a plant are widely used to describe experimental conditions, evaluate light environments, and compare light sources. They include the spectral distribution, the photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD), and the ratio of the photon fluxes of specific wavelength ranges. As for LED lighting systems, spectral distribution, angular distribution of luminous intensity, photosynthetically active radiant energy efficiency, and photosynthetic photon number efficacy are necessary measurements.
