Abstract
I don’t remember the last time I slept so soundly, Paige thought as she opened her eyes and adjusted to the first morning light, looking at the empty space beside her. I can’t believe this day is here. This is really it. Today I need to do everything right. Tomorrow it all changes. It was the day of the benefit and Spencer’s business had taken longer than anticipated but he had sent word that he would make it back in time for the big event. Paige heard Chloe come home late the night before so she decided to let her sleep in. I wonder how she’s doing. I bet she was with Chris. Maybe she’ll want to talk. I hope she remembered to pick up her shoes. Stay on course Paige. One thing at a time. This will be a long couple of days. I’ll need some energy, better make it a long run.
