Summary
430 Hungarian Mangalica pigs originating from three different herds were tested for blood antigens (Bb, Da, Ea, Eb, Ed, Ee, Ja, Ka, La, Mc, Hpl) and 360 of those for serum protein systems (Tf, Hp, Cp, Am). Starch-gel electrophoresis was carried out according to Kristjansson (1963).
The following gene frequencies were observed Bb. 0.023, Da: 0.065, Eae: 0.035, Ede: 0.616, Ebd: 0.384, Ja: 0.606, Ka: 0.000, La: 0.012, Mc: 0.041 and Hp1: 0.046. TfB: 1.000, Hp1: 0.850, Hp2: 0.15, Cp2: 1.000, Am2: 1.000.
We could not compare the results of our blood group studies with those of the former authors because different reagents were used, but we compared the results of our electropho-retic studies with those of Histric et al. (1967).
