Abstract
This presentation considers the scope of informatics as a discipline, and health (or medical) informatics as an instantiation in one professional domain. Educational approaches to the subject are reviewed, with an emphasis on integrated and information-related approaches. The new BSc degree in Health Informatics at City University is outlined
