Abstract

Biogas plants insulated with straw and plastic covering increased the gas production throughout the year. Insulated plants with feeding materials at 35°C and at ambient temperature produced 28 and 40 percent more gas respectively as compared to plants without insulation. Between two insulated plants, treatment with warm feeding material showed positive effect only during the cold period.
