Zusammenfassung

Zu den endokrinologischen Krankheitsbildern in der Intensivmedizin gehören Störungen des Glukosestoffwechsels wie die Hypoglykämie und das diabetische Koma sowie diverse weitere, seltenere Krankheitsbilder wie z. B. die Addison-Krise oder die thyreotoxische Krise. Viele dieser Patienten präsentieren sich häufig mit unklarer Bewusstseinseintrübung, sodass neben den neurologischen Differenzialdiagnosen stets an die Endokrinologie gedacht werden sollte.
