Zusammenfassung

In der „nephrologischen Intensivmedizin“ spielt das Management des akuten Nierenversagens die wesentliche Rolle. Da das akute Nierenversagen (AKI) einen eigenständigen prognostischen Charakter hat, sollten Patienten nach AKI stets nephrologisch angebunden werden. Des Weiteren stellen Elektrolytstörungen ein häufiges intensivmedizinisches Problem dar, weswegen ein genaues Verständnis der Mechanismen für ein Akutmanagement von großer Bedeutung ist.
