Abstract
In the starting-up process, the power plant is brought from outage to operation. After a long period of inactivity the start-up is considered to be a cold one. After overnight shut-down, the most frequent form of starting-up i.e. a warm start, takes place. And after a short boiler outage (e.g. after a shut-down due to a failure of the electric generator), a hot start is performed /12–13/.
