Strahlentherapie des Magen-Karzinoms

Zusammenfassung

Im Gegensatz zu den Chirurgen und Radioonkologen, die bei der Beurteilung des Behandlungserfolges von den Begriffen der Kuration oder Palliation ausgehen, beurteilt der internistische Onkologe seine therapeutischen Ergebnisse durch die Beschreibung der partiellen oder kompletten Tumorremission. Ferner werden Begriffe wie „no change oder progression“ verwendet. Die Diskussion über eine multimodale Therapie bedarf zunächst der Festlegung einer einheitlichen Sprachregelung. So stellt die partielle Remission in der Regel einen palliativen Therapieansatz dar. Ein kurativer Ansatz ist nur bei einer kompletten histologisch verifizierten Remission gegeben. Aus radioonkologischer Sicht beinhaltet ein kurativer Therapieansatz die lokoregionäre Malignomvernichtung.
