Abstract

The nature and role of OR together with its future or lack of one have been a perennial source of debate. See for example references 1 to 5. One strand in this debate has been a series of papers from Tobin, Butfield, Teather and Rapley at BA on the particular style of practical OR that has been developed at British Airways.6 7 8
