Abstract
Flap striae can reduce corrected distance visual acuity (CDVA). When recognized and treated immediately, striae generally can be reduced to a level that is clinically insignificant. However, when the striae have been present for months, they are established and difficult to treat. The irregular collagen becomes fixed in position. When striae have been present for a month or more, direct treatment of the elevations of the striae is needed to reduce the optical impact of the striae.
