Zusammenfassung

Wenn eine chronisch progrediente, sicher zur terminalen Niereninsuffizienz führende Nierenerkrankung vorliegt, sollte sehr früh nach passenden potenziellen Lebendspendern für eine präemptive Nierenlebendspende gesucht werden. So ist ausreichend Zeit für die Evaluation sowohl von Spender als auch Empfänger vorhanden. Ab einer GFR <30 ml/min kann mit dem Patienten das Thema besprochen werden.
