Architecture of the ‘Daily Care Journal’ for the Support of Health Care Networks

Abstract

The project ‘Daily Care Journal’ is implementing and evaluating a platform for the support of health care networks using AAL technologies. The platform enables the participants of the network to exchange information about the person in need of care and health care activities, depending on their access rights. In this way the information flow between the participants will be optimized, as well as heath care processes. The functional requirements for the platform are described in this paper by employing application scenarios. Based on those use cases a reference architecture for the implementation of the platform is described. A relevant part of the architecture is the definition and the targeted provision of service building blocks.
