Abstract
Oftentimes, when contemplating the dynamics of facial rejuvenation, hair restoration is overlooked. However, a comprehensive approach to facial rejuvenation should consider the important role that hair restoration can play. Part of the problem lies in the relatively few qualified surgeons who perform the procedure. This fact has more to do with the paucity of training programs that are currently available and with the necessity of having an experienced and dedicated hair-transplant team to make the venture a success than with the difficulty of the procedure itself. Unlike other methods of facial rejuvenation that almost solely rely on the expertise and skill of the surgeon, successful hair restoration is equally contingent on the surgeon’s skills as those of the supportive team. Proper graft preparation and placement are critical to attain uniformly excellent results.
