Abstract

The contribution focuses on analysis and representation of building fabric about ancient Berber tribes of Morocco, as a symbol of Arab culture in Mediterranean, as well as settlements of southern and eastern Mediterranean world inhabited and animated by Islamic faith. The research work presented, is therefore a result of careful analysis and collection of data collected through architectural survey, having as a goal the investigation of the concept of Kasbah and its typological variations (Ksar, Tighremt), like fascinating places Pre-Saharan valleys where the built is a result of relationship between structure-nature in a social and cultural context, primarily defensive purposes, typical of Berber indigenous population. The Draa Valley is home to many sites of this type: among these, the Ksar of Tamkasselt village, represents a model. The Mediterranean housing model.
