Abstract
Having access to information communication technology can transform lives and bridge the digital chasm. Access to communications can connect people, open up new opportunities for jobs and improve social interaction and learning opportunities. ZTE has fully demonstrated the multiplier effect of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) on the improvement of economy, social development, and people’s living standards by providing applications and technical solutions to global customers in more than 140 countries and regions in the world. ZTE leverages the potential of ICT to do more on social innovation through the deployment of innovative technologies and solutions to support people’s right to well-use of communications, not to mention the activities that are intended to promote environmental welfare and enhance people’s living standards. The company spreads its commitment to corporate social responsibility across the whole industry supply chain to support social welfare, and returning parts of their gains from customers to needed countries and communities. In the meantime, they respect business ethics and human rights, and contribute the wisdom of the whole company’s staff to global sustainable development.
