Abstract

Successful male reproductive function requires the integration of a great many functions: hormonal input to support the development of ductal structures and initiation and maintenance of spermatogenesis; erectile function from hormonal, neural, and vascular systems required for sexual intercourse; and ejaculatory function from a variety of neural sources to allow the delivery of the semen.
