Abstract
A magnificent uplighter which appears ahead of its time in its dynamic and sculptural composition, the Luminator is the forerunner to a generation of spectacular and playful Italian lamps, and would not look out of place in the Milanese Memphis collections of the 1980s. Baldessari’s artistry evoked the spirit of Art Deco, the circular tube which encircles the main body of the light implying vigour and movement. The Luminator is today reproduced by Luceplan.
