Abstract
In a child with a posterior third ventricle tumor, a decision to treat with irradiation cannot be made until the investigation and the surgical phase of treatment is complete. The children described in this paper, therefore, belong to a select group because not all children survive these initial necessary procedures, nor is every patient then referred for a formal opinion on irradiation.
