Abstract

Many workers have studied the sintering of silver over the past two decades (1–11). However, all experimental data except that of Herman (4) and Seidel and Johnson (10) have been obtained under isothermal sintering conditions. Johnson (12) has proposed a model for initial stage sintering which is theoretically valid for both isothermal and non-isothermal sintering.
