Abstract

The “information age” will result in revolutionary changes for the behavioral health care industry. The industry is witnessing an unprecedented capacity to quickly access and process enormous amounts of information. Collecting, storing, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting clinical data promise to dramatically affect the design, delivery and scope of behavioral health care services. Computer technology will not only facilitate the practice of behavioral health care, it will force changes in the delivery systems themselves.
