Abstract

This paper describes some of the results of a 2-year research project entitled ‘E-Co Challenge’, which is a collaboration between Manchester Metropolitan University and Cranfield University as well as six companies from the UK textile and clothing sector. This work is funded as part of the DTI Sector Challenge Programme. This project benefits from having the collaboration of a number of the UK’s leading companies in the Textiles and Clothing Sector, as well as two universities with different and complementary expertise.
