Abstract

So far, this book has focused on simple 2-D graphics in order to help you build the foundation knowledge you need to move into 3-D gaming. This chapter will now take you from the “flatland” of the original Spacewar game into the third dimension (see Figure 6-1). You’ll be introduced to many new concepts, but many of the classes from the Spacewar game will carry over directly into the 3-D version with little or no modification.
