Abstract

This chapter aims to facilitate an understanding of what evidence-based practice (EBP) is and its relevance to mental health nursing. This will be supported by exploring the nature of evidence and the methodologies that can be used to generate research-evidence. Also we will be examining the use of evidence to underpin day-to-day mental health nursing practice.
