Point of Care Ultrasound (PoCUS) in Emergency Medicine

Point of Care Ultrasound (PoCUS) is an established, yet expanding, field of practice in emergency medicine. Incorporating various modes of ultrasound performed by clinicians in the pre-hospital and emergency department settings, PoCUS has transformed the initial assessment, diagnosis and monitoring of patients with a wide variety of clinical presentations. This collection will highlight the latest advances from core modalities to advanced critical care ultrasound, and from general updates through to specialized uses of ultrasound in emergency care. The peer review process for these articles is the same as the peer review process of the journal in general. Additionally, if the guest editor(s) authors an article in their special issue, they will not handle the peer review process.
