Essential Positive Psychological Constructs and Future Avenues for Promoting Positive Mental Health

Positive psychology has witnessed significant growth in its quest to understand and improve human well-being, flourishing and positive mental health. In this special issue, we seek to present a comprehensive exploration of the fundamental concepts in the field and illuminate promising pathways for future exploration of mental health promotion.     Dr. Murat Yıldırım received his Ph.D. degree from University of Leicester. He is a highly accomplished associate professor of psychology, working at Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University in Turkey. Throughout his career, Dr. Yıldırım has been dedicated to exploring the underlying mechanisms of well-being and mental health and understanding the factors that promote positive mental health and well-being.

  • Abdurrahim Güler

    Abdurrahim Güler, PhD, Agri Ibrahim Cecen University, Turkey

    Dr. Abdurrahim Guler received his Ph.D. degree from Hacettepe University Faculty of Letters. He is a dedicated associate professor of sociology at Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University, Turkey. His research focuses on ethnic group integration, psychosocial adaptation of individuals, well-being, and cultural interaction.

  • Orhan Koçak

    Orhan Koçak, PhD, Istanbul University-Cerrahpasa, Turkey

    Orhan Koçak received his Ph.D. degree from the Social Policy program of Istanbul University. He is a professor at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Department of Social Work who works on social problems in general. While conducting research more specifically on refugee problems and addictions, Koçak also included important issues of psychology in his works. During the pandemic period, studies on the psychological effects of Covid-19 anxiety also attract attention.
