Environmental, Energy and Building

There has been a growing interest concerning the impact of human activities on the environment and several methods for mitigating these issues have been receiving much attention. The collection focus on the impact that material recycling, water treatment and distribution, energy generation and distribution, and smart buildings have on the environment. The issue will provide succinct information and up-to-date research in a sustainable environment with a focus on engineering, materials science, built environment and chemistry, and aspects of information technology as it relates to the broader scope of the issue.

  • Idowu David IBRAHIM

    Idowu David Ibrahim holds a dual doctoral degree from the Université Paris-Saclay, France and the Tshwane University of Technology, South Africa. His area of interest includes smart materials, waste recycling, nanotechnology, sustainable and renewable energy. Within the last decade, he has been focusing on materials for energy storage, solar energy, and manufacturing. He has published over 40 scientific articles and book chapters. Idowu is a Research Fellow at the Tshwane University of Technology, South Africa.

  • Olubayo Moses BABATUNDE

    Olubayo Moses Babatunde completed a doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering at the Tshwane University of Technology South Africa, in 2020. He is a member of the American Energy Association. Olubayo’s research revolves around the issues of sustainability in the adoption of green energy in Sub-Saharan Africa with a focus and special interest in low-income communities. Based on his research interests, he has been able to publish 48 papers in international journals,5 in local journals, 8 book chapters and 11 presentations at international conferences. His recent works focus on the multi-dimensional aspects of energy access and climate change.
