Evolutionary Studies

Evolutionary biology studies evolutionary processes and diversification. It commonly employs sequence analysis, of both genomic data and protein sequences, and phylogenetic models to study evolutionary patterns, genetic architecture, the evolution of adaptive traits and biodiversity. This Collection calls for (but is not limited to) papers on new software, algorithms and computational data processing for the analysis of evolutionary genetics and genomics, molecular evolution, protein sequence evolution and phylogenetics.
