Multi-omics in metabolic diseases

Metabolic diseases are an increasing health burden around the world. Conditions like non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, metabolic syndrome, and type 2 diabetes are affecting a growing proportion of the global population. A more profound understanding using state-of-the-art multi-omics approaches could lead to innovative prevention and treatment strategies. This collection welcomes contributions of clinical research and non-clinical research with focus on experimental data. Bioinformatics studies without primary data will only be considered if they are novel contributions to the field. The focus of this collection novel insights into metabolic diseases using multi-omics techniques, including metabolomics, lipidomics, and genomics. Studies on interactions of microbiota with health conditions are also welcome.
