Decomposition at 70: In Honor of Jacques Desrosiers' Birthday and Legacy

Column generation and branch-and-price are decomposition-based methods to solve large scale, structured integer programming models. Over the years, these techniques became an essential part of solving models arising in many practical applications. Contributions to the success of the methods came from all over the world, in particular from Montreal, and there in particular from Jacques Desrosiers. Jacques turns 70 in June 2020, and this topical collection contains works dedicated to his oeuvre. We seek contributions from the entire spectrum of theory to applications, from all disciplines, related to decomposition methods like Dantzig-Wolfe, Lagrange, and Benders; these could be original research articles, surveys, technical notes, perspectives, expositions of software, application reports, insightful failed experiments, etc.
