Special Issue: Natural Hazards - Urban Impacts and Resilience

This special issue proposal results from the scientific meeting 2nd International Conference on Urban Risks (ICUR2022), that took place in Lisbon, from 23 to 25 June 2022, organized by the European Centre on Urban Risks (CERU). Based on seven thematic areas, namely Risk and Emergency Management, Urban Risks Induced by Natural Hazards, Critical Infrastructures and Cascade Effects, Urban Environmental Health Risks and Sustainability, Risk Protection on Cultural Heritage and Historical Centres, Societal Risks in a Changing World, Citizen Engagement and Risk Communication, the meeting objectives were to present recent risk analysis and mitigation methodologies, to present and discuss case studies and new procedures for risk mitigation and emergency management and create a forum for the exchange of practices and ideas between experts and practitioners.
