Cancer pain is a challenging issue. Its nature is complex and many factors are involved. This series on Cancer-related Pain focuses on the different aspects regarding education, ethics, genetics, prognosis, assessment, and management of the numerous forms of cancer pain.

This collection is open to Research, Review and Comment articles; authors are encouraged to refer to the journal's Submission Guidelines for information on formatting requirements.

  • Prof Sebastiano Mercadante

    Prof Sebastiano Mercadante is the Director of the Anesthesia and Intensive Care Unit, Pain and Palliative and Supportive Care Unit, La Maddalena Oncology Clinic in Palermo, Italy. He is also Adjunct Professor of palliative medicine at MD Anderson, University of Texas, USA. He has presented at more than 600 national and international congresses and has published over 500 articles in peer-reviewed international journals.
